Why Rapeseed Wax?
In the summer months rapeseed plants cover many British fields in a brilliant carpet of yellow. Rapeseed has been grown in the UK & Europe for hundreds of years as animal feed, for edible vegetable oils, and also biodiesel. Rapeseed helps protect and improve the soil for future crops, without issues of intensive farming, deforestation or GMO presence.
However, petroleum based paraffin candles are derived from crude oil (a non-renewable resource) and contain toxic air agents like toluene, benzene and formaldehyde.
But rapeseed is a pure wax that burns cleanly, for a long time, and offers excellent scent retention.

SPECIAL CARE FOR A SPECIAL CANDLE
Our candles are all hand crafted with a completely unique design, so some special care must be taken to get the most from them...
- Always trim the wick to approximately 0.5cm before lighting each time
- Do not move the candle when lit
- Burn for no longer than 4 hours at a time
- Ensure the wicks do not come close together
- Do not leave the candle unattended
